About the Book

A sorceress princess, Aurelia, embarks on an adventure to discover secrets of her past. Fox, a half-fae, half-wolf shifter, tries desperately to not become attached to Aurelia. He finds himself following her as she sets out. Soon they find themselves in close quarters and questioning their feelings for each other.

Quick Review (Spoiler Free)

Normally I am a little off put by early starts to romance but I did not expect the roller coaster of push-pull that Aurelia and Fox have. It wiped away the beginning concerns that I had as their relationship developed. I should have read this series in order but with them being standalones I was still able to piece everything together. The complexity of the world and the characters was well written and I loved seeing the other characters. It has me excited to keep reading this series.

Now, let's get into the details!!

I was a little worried at the beginning that this would be an basic instalove romance. Boy, was I wrong. These characters had their ups and downs and in a way that made the romance of this stand alone work really well.

I found myself begging for him to finally hear her voice. Every time it came up, I was like 'this is it, it has to be'... only to be proved wrong. Eventually he does and I almost cried happy tears.

This is the kind of hook in my heart that I love with romance novels. I am excited to finish A Thorn in Every Heart next!

I would like to thank Kate King for this eARC opportunity!
