Holy freaking twists. I didn’t expect as many little twisty bits and mind games as I was just subjected to... my heart 💔.
I loved Caraval, but I literally could NOT put this thing down. I read it all in ONE DAY! I read OUABH first and then was told to come back and read this series. Now I know why.
Also, my heart was shredded for Tella. I wanted to cry for her and to scream for her! I have a feeling she is not done and that we will see her comeback in the next book. (We have to... that’s what I’m telling myself...)

I feel like there were several intertwined twists between who Elantine's heir was, who Legend was, who the Fates were, and who Tella and Scarlett's mother was.
Also, if I hadn't read Once Upon a Broken Heart first, then I probably wouldn't have had the heads up that I did about Jacks. But how can this book drop the bomb that Tella is his one true love and not circle back to that!!! I really want this to be continued in book three... I need to know more.
Also, are you kidding me that Scarlett is going to have a love triangle between Julian and Nicholas!? I'm team Julian at the moment.
I have more questions going into book three about their mom and her past, as well as how each of their relationships are going to end.
