Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
This is my first cowboy romance. I have never jumped on the cowboy/age gap train but I figured I would give it a try.
I love when a book gets directly into the story because it usually means we have some great content coming. I was not prepared to become so attached to everyone... Kade, Georgia, Aurora, Bea, Abby, the twins, Griff, and so many more.Â
This story is a slow burn, however, once the "spark" happens the sex got to be too much. It just felt very forced at the end.Â

Now, let's get into the details!!

I really like some of the other sub tropes here: enemies to lovers, found family, forced proximity, etc. I really enjoyed the storyline. Pretty up front we get dropped a big story bomb that sets up the rest. This was a plus for me. Each character has a great personality setup and the family dynamic with the Archers is so wholesome, I just loved it all. I love the build up and the dynamic between the main couple.
I like a good smutty story and if the sex fits in well then I can’t complain. But it just felt very forced toward the end of the book. I found myself going “oh, another one” and skimming through the scenes for more story content. I was so invested in trying to figure out the next part of the story or waiting on Kade and Georgia to have another character arc moment. Overall, I liked the book but there were definite moments that kept me from giving it a full 4 stars.
