About the Book
Sutton has lost her dream of playing on Team USA due to an injury. Cooper is questioning if he loves hockey enough to live up to his dad’s reputation. His coach notices his demeanor and volunteer’s him for a project with a sports psych student, aka Sutton. Sutton and Cooper now have to navigate through tough feelings around multiple topics.

Hannah has done it again. She has a way with keeping the rom-com feel while still addressing real life issues. This was such a cute read. I really enjoyed the shift in focus on the MMC’s mental health instead of the typical FMC in distress role. They way Sutton and Cooper’s relationship shifts throughout the book is chef’s kiss. Nicely written. I also love the details she puts into the other characters around the MCs.

Now, let's get into the details!!
The setting this took place in felt realistic compared to some other university romances that I've read. I liked that the characters all had goals and timelines that they followed instead of it just being dorms and parties.
The representation of mental health in this story was also great. You have Sutton who is dealing with her past injury and the mental load that has on her but also helping Cooper through the current struggle he has with the same sport she loved and lost. It is such a cute balance for them to help each other out.
I had some little things that I felt were overlooked with their relationship but the story was good enough that I could push past them.
