Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
I absolutely love this series. Each of these books has such a wholesome and cute vibe. The world is so interesting; the stories are such a fun getaway with the depth and emotions, and the romances are all so genuinely adorable. These stories are such good palate cleansers.Â
I have a soft spot for the fake dating and "who did this to you" tropes, and I loved Dax so much. This one is definitely another 5-star read and going to be a trophy/reread.Â

I wasn't sure I was going to like Marin's story. But I really like the sub tropes in this book. One of my favorites was the 'fake dating' portion, then I loved the 'forbidden romance' aspect, and then the 'he falls first' part. Plus, I love a good romance with tension, even if it's self-inflicted.
Also, Ree was super cute... just like Kaz and the plants from the greenhouse. I love all the creatures spread throughout this world. The sea serpents, the sentient plants, and the flying cats are so cool.
I am also a sucker for a well-written, cozy, hopeful, and happy fantasy story. I needed this so much after the last two series broke my heart.
