This is book two in an ongoing trilogy. As always, if you prefer a spoiler free review please read my quick review instead of the in depth review below.

Quick Review (Spoiler Free)

I was extremely happy with the way this trilogy ended. It was another roller coaster emotional read. My heart broke so many times for these characters. The tension between Eryndor and Amaria was INTENSE. And the slow burn was TOTALLY worth it. I also really enjoyed the incorporation of the dragons into this world.

Overall, this trilogy will hold a special place in my heart.

Now, let's get into the details!!

I really liked that Serenya's memory loss wasn't written in the typical fantasy fashion. There was no spell cast or purposeful "forgetting". The fact that it was tied into the world dying made it so much more heart breaking.

I was waiting for what felt like forever for this slow burn to finally have impact. The way it came together felt like it was well deserved. However, one thing that was odd to me was the intimacy that came with the "healing of the world". I wasn't quite sure that I was fully on board with that. However, I'm not mad about it either. It was definitely just different than anything I've read so far.

I would like to thank Celeanne Dorrington for this eARC opportunity!
