Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
Not sure why I expected my heart or mind to be intact at the end of this one. Thankfully,  I have book 3 ready to go!
This series has so many angles and perfectly placed plot twists, heart strings, and punch lines. Maxx still has it, after all.Â
But for real, I have been hooked throughout this whole series. I love all of the characters. The cast feels like a family that I'm invested in 100%. The dynamics, the feelings... just all of it has me rooting for every single one of them.Â
I cannot wait to start book three. I need the pieces of my heart back, Celeanne.

Now, let's get into the details!!

Okay, Maxx is definitely growing on me. I love his humor and carefree attitude, despite the end of the world looming over them. I have a sneaking suspicion that Serenya, Maxx, and Dreadscale are going to end up in a "why choose" relationship.
I am Team Eryndor at this point in the series. Even with the reveal that he is the Prince, I still love his character. The push-pull between him and Amaria gets pretty frustrating and this definitely is hitting the sllllooooooooooooooooowwww burn nail on the head... but DAMN. I needed that closet scene so much sooner. They better get a HEA at the end of this.
I just knew that The Unknown was going to be her brother, Caden. He is interesting to me so far. I can't wait to get to know him more in book 3.

I would like to thank Celeanne Dorrington for this eARC opportunity!
