About the Book
Chloe and Callum have both ended up in Chicago. They both have pasts that haunt them. Chloe is an outspoken and unapologetic firecracker. Callum is a laid-back and successful businessman. After meeting through mutual friends, Callum and Chloe find themselves in a friendship with an unexpected "agreement". Can they remain friends or should they become more or should they continue running from their pasts?
Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
Listen, this book is spicy, the banter is adorable, the story is relatable, and I am a sucker for an epilogue. The author put so much into all of the relationships between the characters that made it feel real and relatable. As I read, I experienced so many emotions. I was happy, giddy, and laughing. I wanted to cry with them. I felt nervous for them. I was angry with them. The details to make this feel like I was watching it play out was amazing.

Now, let's get into the details!!

Tucker is such a good boy and has many moments where I loved him. I could not stop laughing.
I loved all the wittiness between Chloe and Callum, especially in front of others. And I love the fake dating aspect of this story. It is truly one of my favorite sub tropes in romance. And the little instances that showed how much Callum really cared were very sweet: getting her pizza order changed at the restaurant, moving all the gluten out of his apartment when Chloe needed a place to stay, and comforting her when she was down.
I have not read the first book in this series, but I think it would be just as cute as this one.
