About the Book

They've loved and killed each other in a thousand lifetimes, and Evelyn remembers that she dies before her eighteenth birthday in every single one. Arden's soul and survival is tethered to Evelyn's. Every lifetime is different, and sometimes it takes time to bring them together again. Evelyn is quite fond of her current life and is desperately trying to save her sister's life. In order to save her she will have to find Arden first this time, find out why he hunts her, and to break the curse.

Quick Review (Spoiler Free)

The first ¾ ish of this book had me hooked. I was super intrigued and had questions and was waiting for all the buildup to come to an end. When it got there... it just felt lacking. I really enjoyed the concept of the story. It checked the boxes of several romance categories that I enjoy, the time jumps were easy to follow, and the relationship between Evelyn and Arden was so beautiful and tragic.

Now, let's get into the details!!

I wanted more than what I feel like it gave us. There were so many beautifully written parts and the relationship between the main MCs was so beautiful. I did find myself getting confused with the way she wrote the references to their past selves. I was finding it hard to figure out who was who in the flashbacks.

This book actually kept my focus and interest through the flashbacks and time changes. I normally stay away from them but I was able to keep up decently well. Overall the concept of this book sounded amazing! Two people are fated to love each other in every life... but they are also fated to kill each other. It's a doomed version of fated mates! I was totally drawn in.

I was super intrigued, had lots of questions, and was on the edge of my seat for the ending. I tried so hard to pace myself through reading this for my book club read but ended up finishing it early because I couldn't put it down.
