Forty years after the Oblivion Crisis, the people of Tamriel face a terrifying new threat: a mysterious floating city called Umbriel that leaves death and undead horrors in its wake. As the city moves toward the heart of the Empire, a mismatched group of heroes become caught in the fight to stop it. Their journeys uncover strange magic, dangerous secrets, and a threat that could devastate Tamriel. Set in the world of The Elder Scrolls, The Infernal City blends familiar lore with a new adventure that could determine the Empire’s fate.

Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
I have always wanted to play The Elder Scrolls games, but have never had the time. I went into this a little confused, but was able to pick up pretty quickly. That’s the only downside to reading this. I would definitely say that if you can play the games first, you probably will do better with the races and events mentioned in the book. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I did not expect it to be a split duology, so I will have to read #2 to get the resolution of the story. But overall, it was a great read!
