Quick Review (Spoiler Free)

I really enjoyed Anthony and Kate’s story. I was thoroughly surprised with the differences between the book and TV show. As usual I prefer the book version of events. I love the way they interact with each other from start to finish and how it feels like we went on the journey with them. This is likely going to be my favorite Bridgerton book.

Now, let's get into the details!!

I loved Anthony and Kate in the TV show. I loved them even more in the book. I really loved that Colin had a quirky relationship with Kate in the book. I'm beginning to have high hopes for his book too after seeing him in #1 and #2.

I was honestly VERY surprised that the book went so much more in depth in their backstory. I don't really remember it addressing Kate's childhood much at all in the show. And I feel like we got to see a LOT of her story in this book. And I loved watching Anthony fall in love with Kate and fall even harder in those vulnerable storm moments.

I love a good 'mutual pining' subtrope and I feel like their relationship was great in that regard. Especially with Anthony fighting it as much as he did.
