Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
I have heard so many positive things about this series, but book one fell a little short for me. The artwork is definitely unique and sort of a darker feel/aesthetic. But the plotline didn’t quite hook me. I’m going to give book two a chance like I do with all graphic novels before I truly make an opinion. It was okay, and there were a few things I liked with the character interactions. But I guess, we shall see.
Now, let's get into the details!!
I love graphic novels and the artwork in this looks so unique and cool. It has a dark feel to it that makes it seem moody.
I also really enjoy Greek mythology and have enjoyed the retellings I've read so far. But I honestly felt kind of bored while reading this one. There were a few things I liked with the storyline and the character interactions but it felt very scattered in it's storytelling. I need volume two to pick up and get interesting or I will likely be DNF'ing the series.
