About the Book
When Belle touches the enchanted rose in the West Wing, memories flood through her mind. Memories of her mother who had passed away when she was young. She sees that her mother was the same enchantress who curse the castle and its inhabitants. Belle and the Beast must now work to unravel 21 years of family mysteries.
Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
I am on board for all the variations of the fairytales we all know and love; Beauty and the Beast seems to never disappoint. As a young adult novel, this was pretty good.
The whole premise of this book is “What if Belle’s mother cursed the Beast?” I really liked seeing the character development with Belle as the story progressed. I feel like the story stayed true to the characters while giving it’s own flair to them.

I really liked seeing the character development with Belle as the story progressed. Although, I wish we could’ve seen more of the story with her and her mother as the story was wrapped up. I feel like the story stayed true to the characters while giving it’s own flair to them.
I wanted to much more from this book. I devoured the audiobook and even turned up the speed because I wanted to know what was going to happen. When it ended, I felt like it shouldn’t be over. And I was sad that there wasn’t more. I feel like that is a good thing.
