About the Book
Allie Brosh started a blog where she shares comical and absurd situations from her life with simple illustrations that bring a unique voice to the story. Her stories such as “Dogs Don’t Understand Basic Concepts of Moving” and “Adventures in Depression” relate to readers in an insightful way.
Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
I have read this before and I honestly forgot a bunch of it. I laughed just as hard reading it the second time as I did the first. The author discuss real life stuff in such a funny way. Some of it is more heavy and some of it is just the mundane daily things we encounter. All the drawings are well placed and hilarious. I would definitely recommend this if you need a good laugh or want to know you are in fact not alone.
Now, let's get into the details!!
One of my absolute favorite parts of this book is her talking about her dogs. The IQ test for simple dog, the hatred of other dogs with Helper dog, and the absolute chaos of moving with dogs. It was so funny and I couldn't stop laughing.

My other favorite was the chapters directed at her younger self. I love the expressions that she gives in her simple illustrations of herself. The cake incident had me cackling.

Also, Simple dog is the absolute best character in this whole book.

If you haven't checked out her blog, you totally should. It is hilarious!
For extra credit given, these images totally belong to Allie... I just thought they were hilarious and wanted to convince you to read her book with a few photos.

Ratings
As this was a memoir and a story of someone's life, I will not be rating this nor will I critique the story/writing. I do not want to put a rating and assign entertainment value to someone's personal life, struggles, and thoughts.
