About the Book
Phoenix was the bad boy everyone wanted to be with. Lennon was the geek that everyone hated. Lennon believed Phoenix thought she was special until he broke her heart. When fate brings them back together for an eight week tour, Lennon has plenty of ideas for payback.
Quick Review (Spoiler Free)
I read this because of the BookTok audio. And I was NOT disappointed. I have said a million times I have a weak spot for a confident man. Phoenix and Lennon both have their insecurities and mental demons that they face. He made her believe he was someone who cared and then wrecked everything. In the beginning, I was team Lennon and was ready for her to wreck it all for Phoenix. As I read on, I found myself wishing he hadn’t made her his enemy.

Now, let's get into the details!!
I love a good, true enemies to lovers story. Watching Lennon and Phoenix go from unlikely friends, to lovers, to enemies, to lovers again was such a full circle experience. This was very well written and I honestly enjoyed the journey.
The beginning almost felt very reminiscent to A Walk to Remember where the bad boy gets tutoring from the smart girl that no one looks twice at and then starts to develop feelings for her. Then he has to go and be an asshole. This is where that likeliness stops.
I started to hate Phoenix and when Lennon decided to accept the position that she did in order to get revenge, I was singing Hell Yeah! That club scene... 🥵. I did not expect for the revenge arc to take the turn it did. Talk about a slow burn to an explosion.
Lennon's dad was such a memorable side character to this story. The band members, not so much. None of them really stuck with me.
I wish I could re-read this for the first time again.
